As a multi-talented artist, Shawn has pursued diverse creative endeavors over the years including designing clothes and purses, figure drawing and painting in various mediums and styles.  For the past two decades, she has focused her energy and passion on creating works through painting on paper with watercolor and painting on boards with acrylics.

 

Her exhibit in the Beverly Hills Art Show showcases works mainly in watercolor with themes of the human form and condition, vignettes of morning time and music themes.  Her process starts by painting the larger forms first, layering the paint through a process of applications, drying, further watercolor layering with several rehydration washes.  Through the layering and wash process, more and more detail is added to reach the final image.
